Key Project Funds

Our core project funds for supporting Christians in hostile and restricted nations

Bibles and Literature

Getting God’s word and Christian literature into the hands of persecuted Christians -

This project helps VOM print and smuggle Bibles in local languages to believers in restricted nations which often deny them access to their own Bibles. This includes New Testaments and full Bibles in both print and digital formats, Bible commentaries and Bible study materials, MP3 and media players and other inspirational Christian training materials.
100% of gifts made to this fund go to VOM Bibles and Literature projects overseas.

Special Appeals

Current project funds for specific purposes or areas that are highlighted in our monthly newsletter

Covid 19 Response Fund

As people around the world struggle to adapt to the global challenge of COVID-19, the burden is far greater for the persecuted and oppressed. Below are some instances where Christians face increased difficulties because of their faith. Christians are also frequently neglected when humanitarian aid is distributed.

  • In Pakistan, organisations have been providing food aid to those hit hard by the lockdown. However, on more than one occasion, when people show their identification to receive this provision, they have been refused unless they are Muslim.
  • In an attempt to stem the spread of the virus, Indian authorities have ordered everyone to return to their home villages. Many of India’s Christians are among the poorest segments of the population. For huge numbers of migrant labourers, this has left them without food or shelter. In slums where large families are packed together in small shelters, the concept of “social distancing” is impossible.
  • Similar problems are being experienced in refugee camps around the world, such as the case concerning Syrian and Iraqi refugees who are now in Lebanon.

Please PRAY for your persecuted family who are suffering. Donations to our COVID 19 Fund will help buy them food, water, medicines and pay for temporary accommodation.

I-am-N: Gifts for Christians Facing Islamic Extremism

In northern Iraq, radical Muslims (ISIS) spray-painted the Arabic letter ن, or “N,” on the homes and businesses of Christians. The property owners were publicly identified as Christ-followers and given a choice to convert to Islam, leave or die. The courageous believers refused to deny their faith. More than 100,000 fled with little more than the clothes on their backs.

Gifts designated for this fund will be used for direct support for Christian families and Frontline workers in Iraq, Syria, Nigeria, and other nations where Islamic extremist groups actively target our brothers and sisters in Christ. 100% of gifts made to this fund go to VOM's work with Christians facing Islamic extremism.

Vehicles for Frontline Ministry Workers in Hostile Nations

We have an urgent need for vehicles for frontline ministry workers in two areas of our work; in SE Asia and* Central Africa.

Compared to a local pastor using a public bus or even a motorbike, a good vehicle can get to hard-to-reach areas efficiently and safely and can help transport new believers and church members to fellowship and discipleship groups.

Our target is to raise NZ$50,000 $25,000* to help cover the cost of these vehicles.

Note: image is only indicative of the general type of vehicle sought. 100% of gifts made to this fund will go to the mission field for use to purchase these vehicles for ministry.

*Praise God - we have received a significant gift that helps cover half the amount required for this project! This will provide a suitable vehicle for use by our ministry partners in SE Asia
