This project is coordinated by VOM Poland by supporting Polish Evangelical churches and NGO’s who minister to the refugees along the border with Ukraine. And the Moldavian churches who are welcoming and providing shelter to the refugees. We are providing funds for shelter, food, hygiene items, blankets, gasoline (many Christians are going back and forth to the border in their private cars to transport the refugees), and even washing machines and dryers to wash their clothes because they have been travelling for 2-3 days with just backpacks. We’ re also supporting Ukrainian Christians inside the Ukraine, bringing aid to over one million IDPs crammed into the western Ukraine; and to those stuck in the eastern Ukraine war zone (it’s very dangerous to travel, but Christians and others are still able to reach Kiev and Charkiv). We base our work on two main principles: Working with/through Evangelical churches/NGOs in Poland, Ukraine, and Moldova; identifying the unmet needs. This overseas project is not eligible for the tax rebate.
